The CCA Office Jharkhand, Ranchi collects License Fee  from Two (2) Licensed Telecom Service Providers and Eighteen (18) Internet Service Providers & Spectrum Usage Charges from 2 TSPs in unified Bihar Circle (consisting of Jharkhand and Bihar) on behalf of the Government of India. It is responsible for Collection and proper accounting of receipts on account of the License Fees & Spectrum Usage Charges. The CCA Office reports collections of Fees & Spectrum Usage Charges to DOT Headquarters on a regular basis in the prescribed formats accompanied by required documents as prescribed by the Licensing Branch of DOT HQ. The CCA Office has also been delegated with the work of verification of deductions from Adjusted Gross Revenue by Licensees on account of PSTN Charges & Roaming Charges passed on to other operators and on account of Sales Tax and Service Tax paid to the govt. Further, the work of maintenance of Financial Bank Guarantees (FBG) and Performance Bank Guarantees (PBG) in respect of ISPs has also been delegated to the offices of the Controller of Communication Accounts.
